What to expect?

Dairy Day will be held at Punchestown Racecourse, Co. Kildare on Tuesday 20th November. The goal of Dairy Day is to show farmers the latest technologies and help them adapt those technologies in terms of making their farms more efficient and effective.

The event will house over 60 exhibitors and 40 trade stands. There will also be 3 live stages which will host a variety of key national and international industry speakers. Issues to be addressed on the day include topics such as the trading challenge and how global trade works.

As well as this, there will be real life animals present and ongoing demonstrations throughout the day. Journal vet Tommy Heffernan will talk about healthy, happy calves from birth to weaning.  A not to miss also is the skills hub where expert technical advisers will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Topics to be discussed include how to design the perfect handling unit and how to never run out of silage again.

Don’t forget you can be winter ready and calculate your available fodder below.

Herdwatch team members will be exhibiting on the day at stand D38. We are always grateful to be able to attend events such as Dairy Day. Not only does it give us a day out of the office! But it’s a great way to catch up with our current members and meet some potential new members too. Likewise, it is our pleasure to answer any questions or queries you might have about the app on the day.

Read more about the Farm Medicine Scanner here.

Visitors will get the chance to test out a demo version of the app so they can get a feel for just how easy it is to use.

At Herdwatch we understand the pressure and strain that farmers are facing with increased paperwork. With that we made it our mission to to help farmers protect their farm income by taking the paperwork and hassle out of farm compliance.
