Grass & Crops wins Best Agritech Software Product at The Better Farming Awards

We were delighted to attend the Better Farming Awards in The Heritage Hotel, Killenard last Thursday, November 30. The awards which aims to identify the highest levels of achievement made in the industry’s move towards a more sustainable sector.

The awards reward initiatives, research and practices that are helping Irish agriculture meet its economic, social and environmental challenges. They go beyond the headlines to recognise the real difference achieved by those who have excelled in various areas of agriculture.

We were delighted to be victorious in the Agtech Ireland Best Agritech Software Product for our brand new Grass & Crops solution. This prestigious award recognises an agritech software product that contributes to a more sustainable, better farming practice within the industry’s ecosystem for the betterment of the sector.

This is the second award the new Grass & Crops service has claimed having won the Farm Software Award at Innovation Arena competition at the National Ploughing Championships this year.

We were also delighted to sponsor an award on the night in the Herdwatch Biodiversity Farmer of the year category. This award highlights a farmer who embraces biodiversity within their commercial farm holding and was won by Liam Kildea from County Roscommon. Liam and his family have farmed in South Roscommon for several generations. Over the last five years, Liam has become a leader in the local community by co-ordinating biodiversity and ecological surveys of the rosks, raising awareness of the habitats with politicians (local, national & Eurpopean) and among farmers and the general community.
